According to Marvel.com, ABC’s Agents Of SHIELD Season 2 has cast one of its most powerful comic characters to date – a man capable of fighting Thor and the Incredible Hulk to a standstill.

Teen Wolf and The Big Bang Theory‘s Brian Patrick Wade will appear in Episode 1 as Carl ‘Crusher’ Creel, aka the Absorbing Man, who has the power to take on the properties of anything he touches.

Creel, created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, first appeared in Journey Into Mystery #114 (March 1965), where he gains his powers from a concoction brewed by Loki.
