Agents Of SHIELD‘s Season 2 mid-season premiere is almost upon us, and new casting announcements are coming at a pleasing rate. The latest is the news that The Sopranos and Sons Of Anarchy star Drea de Matteo will be joining the cast.
De Matteo is set to play villain Karla Faye Gideon, “a Gifted woman with a grudge against SHIELD who ends up joining forces with Skye’s father, Cal”.
Jeph Loeb, the show’s executive producer and Marvel’s Head of Marvel Television, said: “We’re thrilled to have Drea join us as yet another great villain to challenge our cast. We relish the opportunity to work with her in such a menacing role.”
