Agent Carter TV show, Agents Of SHIELD Season 2 picked up

ABC have confirmed an Marvel double-whammy, not only confirming the steadily improving Agents Of SHIELD Season 2, but picking up the Agent Carter TV show for a full series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Agent Carter – based around Hayley Atwell’s character from Captain America: The First Avenger – will air between Agents Of SHIELD breaks and storylines will slowly begin to weave between the two, which could be interesting given they’re set 60 years apart.

The site describes the series as “set in 1946 and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalised when the men return home from fighting abroad.

“Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers.”
