Hokum trailer

NEON and Cweature Features have released the first trailer for their upcoming horror film Hokum, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year, and stars Severance star Adam Scott.

You can watch the trailer below:

Scott plays a reclusive novelist in Hokum who retreats to a remote Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, but the staff’s tales of an ancient witch haunting the honeymoon suite take hold of his mind. Soon, disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance draw him into a nightmarish confrontation with the darkest corners of his past.

Damian McCarthy is writing and directing the project while Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh, Will O’Connell, Michael Patric, Brendan Conroy, Austin Amelio and Ezra Carlisle co-star.

Shot in West Cork, Ireland, earlier this year, the film is being produced by Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Derek Dauchy, Ruth Treacy, Julianne Forde and Mairtín de Barra.

Scott has a busy 2026 – he also has The Whisper Man and The Saviours on the horizon, as well as filming Season 3 of Severance for Apple later next year.

Hokum is set for release in May.
