A Quiet Place 2 in talks with original cast to return

It looks like the Abbotts could return for the sequel to A Quiet Place

When the sequel to horror hit A Quiet Place was announced, the plan to follow a whole new set of characters. However, that’s now not the case, according to THR.

Actors Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe are all in talks to return as Evelyn, Regan and Marcus Abbott respectively.

A Quiet Place director John Krasinski is also set to return to helm the sequel as well as write the script. Krasinski hasn’t given a reason for the change of direction regarding the returning characters, but we’re guessing it’s because he’s finally found a story involving the Abbotts that will hold up.

After the first film became an resounding hit when it was released last year, Paramount is putting a lot more into the sequel. A Quiet Place managed to rake in $340 million on a $17 million budget, so the studio is reportedly upping the budget for the second go round.

A Quiet Place 2 will hit cinemas in 2020. Get all the latest horror news wit every issue of SciFiNow.
