According to Deadline, NBC’s Constantine TV series has found its lead.
Criminal Minds star Matt Ryan will be lowlife mystic John Constantine, described by the network as “an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond.”
It’s not known if he’s going to go bleached blonde for the role (Keanu Reeves infamously didn’t for 2005’s Constantine, much to the distress of fanboys), but Welsh actor Ryan certainly has the right rugged intensity for the role.
