According to Bleeding Cool, three new cast members have been added to the line-up of Fox’s new Batman TV show Gotham.

Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin – who in this setting is described as “a low-level psychopath who hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor” – will be played by The Walking Dead‘s Robin Lord Taylor.

Alfred Pennyworth will be played by Dog Soldiers star and low-budget horror icon Sean Pertwee, drawing on the Butler’s back story as a former marine as he becomes the young Bruce Wayne’s protector.

Jim Gordon’s love interest and future wife Barbara Kean, an ER doctor described as “joyful, but with an edge of vulnerability,” will be played by Open Grave and The Quiet Ones star Erin Richards. The actor’s previous television credits include Eira in Merlin and Nancy ‘Drew’ Reid in Being Human.
