Bryan Singer posted a picture on Twitter which confirms the writing team for his X-Men: Days Of Future Past follow-up, X-Men: Apocalypse.

Joining Singer on the movie are X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days Of Future Past writer Simon Kinberg, and X2: X-Men United writing duo Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris.

This is the first time Dougherty and Harris have worked together on the franchise since X-Men 2, which for many remains the series’ watermark despite being over-cluttered with supporting characters and mythology.

Singer also alluded to Apocalypse’s origins, saying cryptically, “It’s snowing in Egypt.”

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is released on 18 July 2014. You can buy X-Men: The Ultimate Collection on Blu-ray for £26.24 at Amazon.co.uk.
