Drive and Only God Forgives director Nicolas Winding Refn is currently developing I Walk With The Dead, an all-female horror film, and the film’s writer, acclaimed playwright Polly Stenham, has said that we can expect something different.

“He’s got a lot of stick for doing films some people think are violently misogynistic,” Stenham told the Standard “So he approached me with the idea of doing something different.”

Very little is known about the horror film, which Refn is currently attached to direct, although his Drive star Carey Mulligan is rumoured to star. When the Standard asked what kind of horror film it would be, Stenham replied “It’s going to have a bit of everything.”

I Walk With The Dead will be Refn’s first straightforward horror film, although Only God Forgives, Drive and Valhalla Rising were heavily influenced by the genre.

You can buy Valhalla Rising on DVD for £5.10 at Amazon.co.uk.
