According to The Wrap, Avatar and Aliens director James Cameron has signed up Josh Friedman, creator of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and screenwriter on Steven Spielberg’s War Of The Worlds, to write Avatar 2.
While Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles wasn’t exactly a triumph on all points, it definitely allowed Friedman an opportunity to develop characters created by Cameron in 1984’s The Terminator and 1992’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and move them in new directions while remaining true to the original intent – all of which bodes well for Avatar 2.
