Firefly and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles star (and owner of one of the most dogged fan communities in sci-fi) Summer Glau has been added to the cast of Arrow Season 2.
No prizes for being the first person to predict its cancellation.
According to TVLine, Glau will be playing Isabel Rochev, “the beautiful and dangerous Vice President of Aquisitions for Stellmoor International, a company looking to take over Queen Consolidated. Previously on the show, her name was glimpsed on Robert Queen’s ‘list’.”
In the comics, Rochev believes herself the true heir to the dead Robert Queen, and hoovers up shares on the quiet in order to seize control of the company from Oliver. With the status quo surrounding Queen Consolidated severely rocked by the events at the end of Season 1, could Isabel Rochev be what forces Oliver to take charge?
Is she the first big threat that Oliver Queen must face down, and not Green Arrow?
It’ll be interesting to see whether the character’s infatuation with Robert makes the transition to the screening, adding another dimension to Oliver’s increasingly evolving relationship with his father’s memory.
