Ridley Scott and Fox have hired writer Jack Palgen to writer the Prometheus sequel, replacing Damon Lindelof.
According to Variety, Scott will definitely produce the film via his Scott Free Productions, but it’s not clear if he will direct the sequel. However, Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender are expected to return.
Palgen has written Wally Pfister’s directorial debut Transcendence, and the site reports that it’s likely Palgen will stick to Scott’s plan to move further away from the previously established Alien mythology to make Prometheus its own beast.
