It’s been a while since we’ve had a good Star Wars: Episode 7 rumour, and this is a fan-pleasing one from Reuters: according to the news agency the new trilogy will see the older Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) setting up the Jedi Academy in the temple on Yavin IV, the one that housed the Rebel base in Star Wars: Episode 4 – A New Hope.
It’s a prominent part of the Star Wars Expanded Universe, especially with Kevin J Anderson’s 1994 Jedi Academy trilogy of tie-in books – previous reports said they wouldn’t be looking to the books for storylines, but they could well be looking to them for inspiration.
The complete Star Wars saga (so far!) is available on Blu-ray priced £56.79 from Amazon.co.uk. A boxed set of all three books in Kevin J Anderson’s Jedi Academy trilogy can also be picked up for £14.75.
