DC has announced that every one of its 13 comics released on the third week of this month have sold out, including Green Lantern, Batwoman, Frankenstein: Agent Of S.H.A.D.E, Batman and Robin, Deathstroke, Demon Knights, Grifter, Legion Lost, Mister Terrific, Red Lanterns, Superboy, Suicide Squad and Resurrection Man, have sold out and are going back to press. The publisher also announced that, with Justice League issue one’s 200,000 print run, it has become the best-selling comic of 2011 so far. The first issue of Action Comics has also sold over 200,000 copies.
None of these numbers count digital sales, but DC also noted that on the first week of the New 52, the DC Comics app rose to number four on the list of Top-grossing iPad apps.
It seems the New DCU is getting a great response from readers so far. What do you think? Did you sample any of last week’s releases?
