With Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus there are two choices: you can either bemoan the transparent furore this internet sensation from Asylum (makers of Transmorphers and Snakes On A Train) has caused, or you can embrace it for the total, harmless nonsense it is.
We’re going for the latter.
The story goes that the California coast is terrorized by two enormous prehistoric sea creatures as they battle each other for supremacy of the sea. It’s stupid, it’s trashy and it’s probably going to be as forgettable as Sexpot 3DDD (another Asylum classic), but God help us if we’re not amused by the straight-to-DVD film’s trailer. Apparently it’s in 3D too, and if that isn’t a sign that the third dimension’s in vogue again then nothing is.
