We’re heading back to Jackson as Season Two of The Last Of Us heads to our screens this week on Sky and NOW, as we re-join Joel, Ellie and the residents of Jackson five years after the events of Season One. This season promises lots of action and heartbreak as Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.
We take a deep dive into Season Two of the show with Gabriel Luna, who returns to the show as Joel’s brother Tommy and new cast member Young Mazino, who plays Jesse, to talk about how this show feels very indie despite its massive production, getting into trouble for chopping wood on set and what other videogame character they would like to play…
Based on the acclaimed video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation, the show is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. The show also stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Rutina Wesley as Maria, as well as Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) as Abby, Isabela Merced (Alien: Romulus) as Dina, Ariela Barer (Rebel) as Mel, Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Nora, Spencer Lord (Heartland) as Owen, Danny Ramirez (Captain America: Brave New World) as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright (The Batman) as Isaac.
The seven-episode second season of The Last Of Us debuts on Monday 14 April on Sky and streaming service NOW. New episodes will debut on subsequent Mondays.
