We’re headind back into the midst of rebellion and sacrifice as Andor returns to our screens for Season Two over on Disney+ this week.
Where Season One followed Cassian’s reluctant journey from cynical nobody to revolutionary volunteer, Andor Season Two will see him transform from soldier to leader to hero on the way to his epic destiny. From the very first scene, Cassian’s story has activated an ever-widening ensemble of allies and enemies. Season Two will see these relationships intensify as the horizon of galactic war draws near. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound. Who will live to see their dream realized? Who will realise what that dream cost?

The show sees the return of Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, who stars alongside Kyle Soller as Syril Karn, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Stellan Skarsgard as Luthen Rael, Fiona Shaw as Maarva Andor, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Denise Gough as Dedra MEero, Faye Marsay as Vel Sartha, and Varada Sethu as Cinta Kaz.
We sat down with Andor (and Rogue One) creator Tony Gilroy to ask if he re-watched Rogue One now that Andor is over and what other Rogue One character he’d like to make a series from. We also speak with star Stellan Skarsgard to see his thoughts on Luthen, one of the most enigmatic and complex characters in the series, and ask both why they think these characters are so beloved by new and old Star Wars fans alike.
