Ghoul news everyone (sorry)! Those frightening folks from our favourite horror festival, Arrow Video FrightFest have been busy curating top genre films for us to enjoy this summer and its incredible line-up has been announced!

Not only that, but we’re delighted to reveal that we’re partnering up with the event this year so expect to see a lot more FrightFest action right here at SciFiNow!

The festival is back at London’s Cineworld Leicester Square and the Prince Charles Cinema from Thursday August 25 – Monday 29 August for five days of the very best of global genre cinema. The film opens with Dog Soldiers’ Neil Marshall’s latest movie The Lair and closes with the European premiere of Scott Mann’s Fall. Check out the full line-up here and find out our top picks from the festival here.

Celebrating its 23rd blockbuster edition with 32 world, 22 International/European and 18 UK premieres included in the line-up, with 17 countries represented, spanning five continents there really is something for everyone. The films will be shown over the main Arrow and Shudder screens, the 101 Films Discovery Screen One at Cineworld Leicester Square, the 101 Films Discovery Screen Two at the Prince Charles Cinema and the 101 Films Discover Screen Three at the Prince Charles Cinema.

This year, there will be several guests attending too, including legendary directors Dario Argento and Neil Marshall (who will be introducing his new film The Lair PLUS looking back at his cult classic Dog Soldiers); directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead; actor/director Brea Grant; horror icon Dario Argento; cult French actor Brigitte Lahaie; FrightFest favourite Graham Skipper; actor Tom Felton; and Mark Kermode who, along with Alan Jones, will be bringing their stage show ‘Duelling Egos: An Audience With Alan And Mark’ to the Prince Charles Cinema.

That’s not the only event happening this year. ‘The Duke Mitchell Film Party’ is back after three years, so expect trailers, scary PSAs and delightful celluloids, PLUS get those thinking caps on because there will be a special horror pub quiz on Wednesday night at the Phoenix club with ‘The Evolution Of Horror’.

We’ll see you there!
