About the author

Stephen Oram is a leading voice in zoefuturist and social science fiction, exploring the collision of messy humans and imperfect technologies.

His work spans novels, award-winning short story, and foresight fiction collaborations with scientists and institutions like King’s College London. A former UK Government Head of Policy, he’s described by The Financial Times as a writer who “should set the rest of us thinking.”

Stephen is based in the heart of central London and attributes much of the urban grittiness and the optimism about humanity in his writing to the noise, the bustle, and the diverse community of where he lives.
