After the untimely death of his wife, Eric believes that taking a job as a shepherd on a remote island will help with his grief in Shepherd. However, when he gets there he’s plagued by visions and dreams like the one shown in this clip of the movie below…

Running from grief after the mysterious death of his wife, Eric Black takes a job as a shepherd. Trapped alone on a majestic weather-beaten island with an ominous secret. One mans sudden, spiralling madness meets a vengeful supernatural force. What starts as the perfect wind-swept escape becomes a race to save his sanity and his life.

Written and directed by Russell Owen, Shepherd stars Tom Hughes (Red JoanVictoria), Kate Dickie (Game of ThronesThe Witch), Gaia Weiss (VikingsMedici) and Greta Scacchi (The Player).

After its successful run at this year’s London Film Festival, Shepherd writer and director Russell Owen will also be attending Arrow Video FrightFest on 30 October and will be sharing the film’s trailer with festival-goers. Find out more about the Halloween installment of FrightFest here.

Shepherd had it’s World Premiere at BFI London Film Festival and will be in UK / EIRE Cinemas from 12 November.
