There’s something strange coming from the moon in the opening sequence of Roland Emmerich’s Moonfall. Watch the first five minutes of the movie here…

Moonfall

Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson encounter a strange, unknown substance emanating from the moon in the first five minutes of the opening scene of Roland Emmerich’s new disaster sci-fi Moonfall.

Watch it here…

In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Halle Berry, X-Men: Days of Future Past) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley, Game of Thrones) believes her.

These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our moon is not what we think it is…

Out next year, Moonfall is directed and co-written by Roland Emmerich, alongside Harald Kloser (The Day After Tomorrow) and Spenser Cohen (Extinction). The movie also stars Michael Peña (Ant-Man), Charlie Plummer (The Clovehitch Killer), Kelly Yu, Eme Ikwuakor (Inhumans), Carolina Bartczak (X-Men: Apocalypse), and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games).

Moonfall is out in cinemas on 4 February 2022.
