The Bagman is just a spooky story to warn children about running off on their own… right? Well perhaps not in upcoming supernatural horror Bagman, which is set to be released this September.

Check out the creepy trailer…

In Bagman, a family finds themselves ensnared in a nightmare as they are hunted by a malevolent, mythical creature. For centuries and across cultures, parents have warned their children of the legendary Bagman, who snatches innocent children and stuffs them into his vile, rotting bag—never to be seen again. Patrick McKee narrowly escaped such an encounter as a boy, which left him with lasting scars throughout his adulthood. Now, Patrick’s childhood tormentor has returned, threatening the safety of his wife Karina and son Jake.

Patrick (Sam Claflin) narrowly escaped being snatched by The Bagman as a boy, but now his childhood tormentor has returned.

Directed by Colm McCarth (The Girl with All the Gifts), the movie stars Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor), Sharon D Clarke (Doctor Who), Steven Cree (A Discovery of Witches), William Hope (Deep State), Adelle Leonce (A Discovery of Witches), Peter McDonald (The Batman), Henry Pettigrew (The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde), Caréll Rhoden (My Husband’s Baby) and Will Davis.

Bagman will be released in cinemas on 20 September
