Black Crow Books has announced its first acquisition: four novels by rising horror author Keith Rosson. Known for his growing reputation in the genre, Rosson has earned praise from notable figures like Stephen King, CJ Tudor, and Joe Hill.
Three of these novels are set to release in 2025, alongside a UK tour planned for October.
The first two books, forming the Fever House duology, will debut as ebooks before paperback editions arrive. The first book is slated for March 2025, followed by the second in October. Additionally, there will be a special limited edition with block-sprayed edges, plus an exclusive hardback slipcase set available through the publisher’s website. This set will include signed copies, sprayed edges, and custom-designed endpapers.
Fever House and The Devil by Name is said to combine punk rock energy with a gritty, dystopian vibe, and elements of Pulp Fiction and The Stand. It follows a small-time criminal, a washed-up rock star, and a shadowy government agency, all drawn together by a severed hand with mysterious and dangerous powers.
The series has already garnered critical acclaim, with Fever House recognised by the Wall Street Journal as one of the best books of the year, and The Devil by Name earning similar accolades. Stephen King has called the novels “exciting, suspenseful, horrifying,” comparing them to Justin Cronin’s vampire trilogy and describing them as a “zombie/Stand hybrid.”
