Y: The Last Man movie back on

Brian K Vaughan’s Vertigo comic is lined up for a new films script

After DJ Caruso’s adaptation of Brian K Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s Y: The Last Man fell apart, we had assumed the comic book was due to languish in Hollywood development hell until the end of time – not so, it seems. The Hollywood Reporter says that a new script has been commissioned by New Line, to be written by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scacia (episodes of Warehouse 13, among other shows). Man Of Steel writer David S Goyer is producing the film.

Y: The Last Man follows Yorick, the last living man on Earth, who lingers on with his pet monkey after the male population of ever species are wiped out. No director has been set for the film, yet, but this at least indicates that the studio is still interested in adapting it.
