Marion Cotillard is NOT Talia Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises

Marion Cotillard confirms her Dark Knight Rises character, Miranda Tate, is not the daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul

After about a year of speculation, Marion Cotillard has confirmed once and for all that her character in The Dark Knight Rises is not Talia Al Ghul. Many fans assumed that her role as businesswoman Miranda Tate was a cover for the character’s true face as the deceptive daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul. When pressed by The Hollywood Reporter, though, the actress confirmed that Miranda Tate is exactly who she says she is, with the purest of intentions. Cotillard describes Tate as “fascinated by Wayne Enterprises. They go through difficulties, and she wants to help provide the world clean energies. She’s a good guy.” In the trailers released so far, we can see that Bruce Wayne becomes romantically entangled with Tate in some fashion.

Just to be extra sure, THR asked her if she stays good throughout the film. She answered, “Yes”, and stated that she is definitely not playing Talia. The Dark Knight Rises will be released on 20 July.
