NBC orders a full season of Grimm

‘Once upon a crime’ series is a Stateside success

Fairytale meets CSI drama Grimm has been given a full season from US network NBC and it’s been taken from the Friday night death slot! The show did so well on, despite competition from Fringe and Supernatural, attracting an average 6.9 million viewers.

“We are very pleased to be making a full-season commitment for Grimm,” said NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt. “This series is turning the traditional procedural drama on its head and is attracting a loyal following for us on Friday nights. We love where it’s going creatively, and we’re excited to deliver more episodes to our audience.”

The series is co-created by Buffy exec producer David Greenwalt and follows a homicide detective who discovers he’s a descendant of a group of supernatural hunters known as Grimms. The show’s Thursday night debut arrives on Dec 8th at 10pm.
