“I was told that this world famous producer/director was producing it, they’ve got two American writers and I think it was going to go to Paramount. I thought to myself that remakes don’t always succeed, Thunderbirds was a typical example as was The Avengers, so I started saying that it needs to be made with great sensitivity or it might suffer the same fate as Thunderbirds.”
Following this he disclosed what his role would be on the project:
“The discussion came around to me perhaps being a consultant. I know they are going to call me for more discussions but I can’t say any more than that.”
