Batman v Superman makers are obviously expecting their version of Aquaman to cause a ripple, as writers are already working on scripts for a solo movie.
Screenwriters Will Beall (Gangster Squad) and Kurt Johnstad (300: Rise Of An Empire) are penning the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And for some reason, they are working on two different scripts. A mash-up of both is likely, but it could also be a case of eenie meeny miney mo.
Aquaman is set to appear in superhero fondue films Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 and Justice League later down the line.
Jason Momoa, also known as ruthless Dothraki dreamboat Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones, was cast as the depth-dweller for Batman V Superman, and is rumoured to be taking on the lead role in the standalone as well.
