Andor: New trailer and date change for Star Wars series

We have to wait a further three weeks for Andor to be released on Disney+ but we are getting an extra episode…

The latest and quite frankly epic trailer for Andor, the latest Star Wars series to drop on Disney+, is here and with it comes a new date for its release – 21 September.

The first two episodes were supposed to land on the streaming platform on 31 August, so we have to wait an extra three weeks BUT we will be getting an extra episode as the first THREE episodes will be released at the same time.

Taking place prior to the events of Rogue OneAndor series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make.

The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Rogue One writer Tony Gilroy is the series’ creator and showrunner, which sees Diego Luna (Rogue One) return as Cassian Andor.

The show also stars Genevieve O’Reilly (Rogue One), Stellan Skarsgård (Dune), Adria Arjona (Morbius), Denise Gough (Martyrs Lane), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve) and Kyle Soller (Poldark).
