The Surrogates trailer goes live

The first trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller The Surrogates has been released, and it looks rather good.

Based on the comic book of the same name, The Surrogates describes a future where people live life by controlling perfect robotic versions of themselves. It’s not long, however, before a series of murders is ruining everyone’s fun and forcing the film’s hero (played by Bruce Willis apparently as John McClane) to find out the whos and whys. With seemingly high-production values, high-octane action and a smart concept, The Surrogates could feasibly be the year’s sci-fi sleeper hit with the trailer, which you can check out below, doing little to make us think otherwise.

Directed by Terminator 3′s Jonathan Mostow and co-starring Radha Mitchell and Ving Rhames, The Surrogates will be released on 25 September from Touchstone Pictures.
