2. Lower Decks
Season: 7
Aired: 7 February 1994
Stardate: 47566.7
Although not wildly popular with many fans of the series, we quite liked the glimpse of life on a starship outside of the conference room and the senior officers. The tragic end to the episode also underscored why it was one of our favourites.

Loving your top ten Next Generation episodes guys – this was the first Trek I grew up with as well as Deep Space Nine and Voyager! I never really got into Enterprise but the recent JJ Abrams reboot was fantastic! These episodes brought back a lot of memories so thanks and can you do a Deep Space Nine top ten next? Ta.
On the whole a great list, although i would have had redemption in there but im a sucker for kling ons
Your choices are not bad, but it is easy to forget just how many exceptional TNG episodes there were:
Darmok
The Inner Light
Tapestry
Almost any episode from season 3…..
I loved this show because it stood for rationality and science. I loved this show because it depicted a future that I wanted to live in. And I loved this show for the characters, plots and that opening narration.
Loved it I tells ya.
Nice to see “Lower Decks” included… I really loved the episode when it first aired. As the then 14 year old kid it was nice to see some focus on younger people that weren’t Wesley :)
Nice list, I can agree with a lot. However, for me the number 1 episode of TNG will always be Who Watches The Watchers?(s03e04). Excellent episode.
Inner Light. Best. Episode. Ever. Can’t beleive it’s not in your top ten, but I guess it’s all very objective. Otherwise, great list – brings back a lot of memories. Maybe I’ll dig out my TNG DVD collection over the weekend…
