Sophia Myles confident Moonlight will return

British actress Sophia Myles, who plays journalist Beth Turner in the Joel Silver-produced vampire detective series Moonlight, has revealed to fans her confidence in the show’s prospects for renewal. Speaking at Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors in LA, Myles stated: “I’d put pretty much all of the money I have in my bank account on the fact that we’ll get picked up.”
Myles went on to thank the show’s devoted fan base to whose dedication she attributes both the show’s success and the likelihood of its renewal. The show’s fans, taking a leaf out of the Jericho rulebook, have been donating blood and mailing garlic to network executives in a bid to bolster the show’s chances of renewal. Their committed work, though, seems to have paid dividends with Moonlight strongly rumoured to be sinking its blood-soaked fangs into audiences again this Autumn. If it doesn’t, Myles will be out of not only a job but a hell of a lot of money too!
