NBC’s new take on the one-man-and-his-machine show has received moderate ratings since it premiered last month, but the network has decided to order up the back nine on the programme, handing it a full season order.

The series updates the iconic Eighties TV show, and stars Justin Bruening as Mike Traceur, with Val Kilmer voicing his four wheeled crime-fighting counterpart KITT.

Elsewhere, CBS’ The Mentalist and Fox’s Fringe have also received full season orders.
