X-Men: Apocalypse: Evan Peters’ Quicksilver is looking for his dad

Evan Peters drops some details about X-Men: Apocalypse

Evan Peters’ Quicksilver was arguably the highlight of the very good X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and we can’t wait to see him in Apocalypse next summer.

Now, we’re even more excited, as Peters has dropped some hints about his character’s storyline in the movie to Details.

“The story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him,” he explained. “It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world.”

Now, comics fans will know that Quicksilver’s dad is Magneto (Michael Fassbender), which was teased in Days Of Future Past. As CBR points out, Apocalypse‘s official synopsis mentions that the god-like mutant recruits Professor X’s old friend for his grand plan. “[Apocalypse] is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.”

Peters also confirms that the film is going to be pretty, pretty huge.

“Absolutely. It’s the biggest X-Men film. It’s about the apocalypse, so the scope of the film is huge.”

X-Men: Apocalypse is in UK cinemas from 19 May 2016 and US cinemas from 27 May 2016. Get all the latest superhero news with every issue of SciFiNow.
