The cast of X-Men: Apocalypse keeps growing as Bryan Singer has announced that Jubilee will be a part of the latest instalment.
The director revealed on his Instagram that newcomer Lana Condor will be playing Jubilation Lee in Apocalypse, joining other newly cast X-Men Sophie Turner (as Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (as Scott Summers), Alexandra Shipp (as Ororo Monroe) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (as Kurt Wagner).
Jubilee previously appeared very briefly in the first three films in the X-Men trilogy, played by Katrina Florece in the first movie, and Kea Wong in X-2 and The Last Stand. None of these appearances felt like enough for the character, especially for those of us who grew up on the animated series.
Hopefully we’ll see some proper fireworks this time around.
X-Men: Apocalypse will hit cinemas on 27 May 2016. You can buy X-Men: Days Of Future Past on Blu-ray for £9.50 from Amazon.co.uk. Get all the latest superhero news with every new issue of SciFiNow.
