Bryan Singer has finally confirmed who will be joining the X-Men: Apocalypse cast as younger versions of Jean Grey, Storm and Cyclops.
First up is Sophie Turner, who will be playing a young Jean Grey (usually played by Famke Janssen). Turner is, of course, best known for being Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones. She’s also set to star as mother of sci-fi Mary Shelley is Mary Shelley’s Monster later on in the year.
Next is Alexandra Shipp, who starred as Aaliyah in last year’s Lifetime movie Aaliyah: The Princess Of R&B. Shipp will be playing Storm (usually Halle Berry).
Finally, Tye Sheridan, who has been a front-runner for a role in the film for a while now, will be playing as Cyclops (usually James Marsden). Sheridan has starred in The Tree Of Life, Mud and Joe, and is set to appear in comedy horror Scouts vs. Zombies later this year.
X-Men: Apocalypse will hit cinemas on 27 May 2016. You can buy X-Men: Days Of Future Past on Blu-ray for £10.90 from Amazon.co.uk. Get all the latest superhero news with every new issue of SciFiNow.
