Utopia Series 2 could work but might not, says star

Misfits’ Nathan Stewart-Jarrett on the chances of Utopia Series 2

Utopia‘s ratings weren’t huge, but starting on 1.7 million and ending on less than 1.15 isn’t bad going for a show as impenetrable as the surreal Channel 4 drama.

Ending on a suitably bleak WTF? moment that we wouldn’t dream of spoiling, star Nathan Stewart-Jarrett reckons while there’s obviously scope for more, it might not be the best

“I think there is scope for a second series, but I also think that it is self-contained,” Stewart-Jarrett told Digital Spy. “It really does depend. Sometimes you think things could have carried on or things aren’t resolved, and people can get annoyed by that.

“But some pieces of work don’t have a resolution and they leave you to figure it out, and that’s great. Utopia could carry on, but resolution isn’t always good.”

Utopia is out from 11 March 2013. Pre-order it for on DVD for £14 or Blu-ray for £17.50 from Amazon.co.uk.
