Empire reports that Kyle Ward – current writer on both the Kane & Lynch and Hitman 2 adaptations – will be scripting the project, while Avi and Ari Arad will be producing alongside Charles Roven.

Drake’s first exploration into the unknown saw him on the hunt for the lost city of El Dorado. Along the way players had to navigate through treacherous terrains, fight Nazis and even go head-to-head with the undead. Needless to say this third-person blast was a huge success and its much-anticipated sequel will be released this year.

At this time no cast or director has been attached to this project and it is yet to receive a production date.
