The plot is daft, and the stunts equally so, but there’s no denying that this Bond venture is a gulity pleasure worth watching over and over again. Ah Roger Moore, so cheesy yet so underrated.

Let us hear your thoguhts on this movie below. Was it a total Bond blowout? Or a sky high entry in the franchsie?

Oh this was just so bad… I remember going to see it at the Odeon when I was 11 years old and even then I could see how lame the matt lines were when Bond and Jaws have their mid-air scrap on a cable car.
And why can’t Jaws die? It’s a tired idea that’s overdone.
At least the Moonraker itself is impressive (the model effects were done by Derek Meddings who cut his teeth on the Gerry Anderson puppet series of the Sixties) but it’s a toss up which has more cardboard – the sets or Roger Moore.
I don’t think I’ve seen Moonraker, so I will have to rectify that asap! But is it a good film? What do other people think?
profquatermass,
Check out the Blu-ray incarnation of Moonraker and you will have a totally new perspective. With a bit of digital tinkering and gloss, the film has been thrust into the 21st century. The space battle really is a sight to behold in high-def.
No strings attached and all that.
