Speaking to Total Film, Loki star Tom Hiddleston revealed that he’d like to see the god of mischief play off the nefarious Amora, an evil Asgardian sorceress with a murderous attraction to Thor, who frequently teamed up and then either betrayed or was betrayed by Loki.

“When I was first reading the comics, the relationship with the Enchantress was one of the really fun things I thought would be good to explore,” said Hiddleston in the run up to Thor: The Dark World, “and may have even pitched it to [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige at some point. Because she is as sneaky and as untrustworthy as he was.”

Expanding on how their tempestuous affair might look, Hiddleston added, “They basically had a really fantastic and twisted relationship until they both say, ‘You know what? I don’t trust you as far as I can throw you. It’s over.’ Because they keep betraying each other, in a way. So it could be good.””

Thor: The Dark World is in cinemas 30 October 2013. Pick up the first film on DVD for £11.58 or Blu-ray for £18.89 from Amazon.co.uk.
