There’s been a lot of news about returning talent in front of the camera for The X-Files revival series, but we’ve been eagerly awaiting any news about who will be writing.

The show had some incredible writing talent, including Frank Spotnitz, Glen Morgan, James Wong, Vince Gilligan, Darin Morgan, John Shiban, Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa, and it’s been announced that two of these names will return.

TVLine reports that Glen Morgan and James Wong will each write and direct an episode of the six episode revival. As a duo, Morgan and Wong wrote episodes like ‘Squeeze’, ‘Home’, ‘Musings Of A Cigarette Smoking Man’, ‘Die Hand Die Verletzt’ and ‘Beyond The Sea’. This is very good news.

Morgan will also executive produce alongside Chris Carter.
