Universal has settled on a new director for their reboot of The Mummy: Alex Kurtzman.
Deadline reports that Kurtzman, who was recently announced as shepherding Universal’s efforts to revive their classic monster movies along with Chris Morgan, will fill the gap left by departed directors Len Wiseman (Underworld) and Andy Muschietti (Mama).
Kurtzman was also attached to the Venom movie, but it’s been a while since we’ve seen any movement on the Spider-Man villain.
