The Dark Knight is making his next solo film appearance a lot sooner than expected, but this time in Lego form, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Warner Bros. were quick to announce a sequel after the success of The Lego Movie. However, the film is being put on hold in favour of fast-tracking the as-yet-unnamed Lego Batman project.

Chris McKay, the animation supervisor for The Lego Movie, will be returning to helm the film along with Will Arnett (Arrested Development), who will be voicing Batman. Author/screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith (Pride And Prejudice And ZombiesDark Shadows) will be making his Lego-debut to pen the script.

A release date has not yet been confirmed, but enjoy two hours of Lego Batman’s song Untitled Self-Portrait while you wait.
