One of the great joys of The Lego Movie was the way in which it was able to incorporate so many amazing characters from pop culture. Naturally, that means raising the stakes for the sequel would be difficult, but this latest rumour would certainly do that.
iO9 reports that The Doctor himself might appear in The Lego Movie 2. Speaking on the awesome Harmontown podcast, director Rob Schrab said that there were currently ongoing negotiations between Warner Bros and the BBC to bring the character into the Lego Movie universe.
Of course, one encouraging fact is that The Doctor (and all his incarnations) appeared in the Lego Dimensions video game.
So, fingers crossed! We would love to see Capaldi’s Doctor in this universe that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have created.
