The Fades ran for six episodes in September and October 2011

Despite being cancelled in favour of Being Human Series 5, The Fades was nominated in the BAFTAs for Best Drama Series, and won, beating both genre-favourite Misfits and the unstoppable Spooks to the top spot.

“I’m so pleased we’ve got a BAFTA nomination for best series,” executive producer Caroline Skinner told us, “it was a show that seemed to grow an incredibly loyal and devoted fanbase really quickly. Even though we didn’t get Series 2, the fact that we got such a good reaction and people did fall in love with it makes me pleased we did the right thing.”
