James Wan has a lot on his plate at the moment. Still riding the success of Fast & Furious 7, he’s going into The Conjuring 2, he’s being courted to direct Aquaman, and now he’s producing a remake of The Entity.

THR reports that Wan and Roy Lee will produce a remake of the 1983 Barbara Hershey horror, which will be written by The Conjuring duo Chad and Carey Hayes.

Like The Conjuring movies, The Entity was apparently based on a true story. It starred Hershey as “Carla Moran, a single mom who was abused physically and sexually by a supernatural demon,” while the late, great Ron Silver “played a doctor who believes the woman is actually abusing herself and experiencing delusions brought about by a troubled past. Also figuring into the proceedings were a young son, a boyfriend and two parapsychologists.”

Hershey also starred in the first two Insidious films, directed by Wan.
