The Crow reboot release date closes in

We could see Luke Evans’ controversial reboot of The Crow as early as 2016

The Luke Evans (Dracula Untold, The Hobbit)-fronted reboot of gothic superhero icon The Crow has been struggling to get into production for a couple of years now.

Pretty much on and off since 2010, in fact.

According to producer Ed Pressman (Wall Street, American Psycho) filming is due to start in 2015, which means we could easily be looking at a mid-to-late 2016 release for the film.

Obviously that depends on the studio’s plans, and the level of post-production, but if they’re keeping it true to the downbeat, low-key style of James O’Barr’s original comic, it shouldn’t be too effects-driven.

Dracula Untold is in cinemas now. You can buy Bram Stoker’s Dracula on Blu-ray for £7.50 at Amazon.co.uk.
