The Conjuring spin-off Annabelle has been locked in for a release date of 3 October 2014.
Bloody Disgusting reports that the spin-off from James Wan’s massive horror hit last year, which starred Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as real-life demonologists Lorraine and Ed Warren, has been lined up for the Autumn release.
Annabelle is directed by John Leonetti, who was the director of photography on The Conjuring, and stars Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard and Ward Horton
The Conjuring 2, meanwhile, which will bring back Farmiga and Wilson, is currently planned to hit cinemas 23 October 2015. Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes have returned to write the sequel but a director has not been appointed yet, following James Wan’s decision to leave horror.
