The Breach David S Goyer directs sci-fi thriller

Man Of Steel writer David S Goyer to direct adaptation of Patrick Lee’s novel The Breach

David S GoyerDavid S Goyer, the writer behind Man Of Steel, Batman Begins and Blade, has signed on to direct the film of Patrick Lee’s supernatural thriller The Breach.

THR reports that Goyer will sit in the director’s chair but will not be writing the movie about “a corrupt ex-cop who is trying to get his life back in order when he discovers a crashed plane in the Alaskan wilderness. The first lady is among those dead in the wreckage. That sets off an adventure featuring a beautiful survivor, assassins, a secret organization, alien technology and an end-of-the-world scenario.”

Even if he’s not scripting the adaptation, this is another film on Goyer’s very full plate which already includes Man of Steel 2/Batman Vs Superman, Da Vinci’s Demons, the Constantine TV show and The Sandman.

Goyer’s track record as a director is not a particularly illustrious one, having helmed Blade Trinity, The Unborn, and The Invisible. Fingers crossed that this is a step up.

You can buy The Breach in paperback for £5.59 at Amazon.co.uk.
