Teen Wolf the TV show in development

by Shaun Davis

Teen Wolf to roar on the small screen

teen_wolf_michael_j_foxThe 1985 cult comedy Teen Wolf is to be turned into a TV series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The original movie starred Michael J Fox as a high school student burdened with the werewolf bug. This new version of the show won’t stray too far from this core premise but does promise to include some new elements and a fresh dynamic.

Senior series developer at MTV Liz Gateley had this to say about the project:

“It has a fresh take and is very different from the original,” said Liz remarking on the series. “It has more of an American Werewolf In Paris feel to it. It’s a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the centre who provide a great comedy element; they are two very relatable characters on the outer circles of popular cliques.”

At this time Teen Wolf is in the very early stages of development.
